Frozen Raspberry Margaritas in a glass.

Frozen Raspberry Margaritas

This Frozen Raspberry Margarita recipe makes a such delicious cocktail made with raspberries for a bright fruity flavor. A perfectly refreshing drink that takes a classic cocktail and gives it a little spin! It's especially great because with fresh or frozen raspberries it can be enjoyed at any time of the year.

Notes

  • These cocktails will have raspberry seeds in them, so something to be aware of if you’re adverse to that!
  • You can swap almost any other fruit in instead of raspberries such as fresh berries, mango, pineapple, etc!
  • Make a salt rim by rubbing a sliced lime on the rim of the glass and dipping the glass upside down it in a shallow bowl of kosher salt before pouring the drink in. Could also be fun to add some lime zest or tajin to the salt mixture! And don't forget to add a fresh lime wedge or lime wheel.
  • If it’s not sweet enough for your taste just add a little agave nectar or simple syrup. You could even try maple syrup if you don't have agave or simple syrup on hand, it'll just have a little more flavor (as opposed to agave or simple syrup which are both more neutral)
  • To make simple syrup, add equal parts water and granulated sugar to a pot and heat over medium heat until the sugar is dissolved. Allow it to cool before you add it to your drink.
  • You can make it a spicy simple syrup by adding a few slices of jalapeño
  • If you go the frozen raspberry route you can make these all year long because frozen fruits are frozen at their peak with tons of flavor! Perfect for when fresh raspberries aren’t in their prime season
  • I used orange liqueur because it'll yield a more classic margarita flavor, but you could sub in raspberry liqueur to really amp up the raspberry flavor.
  • The best margarita glasses are any kind of glasses, don't stress if you don't have one of those fancy stemmed ones, any glass will do
