Equipment

  • 11x7 baking dish

Ingredients

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 3 15oz cans peaches in heavy syrup
  • 1 ½ sticks salted butter
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350F.
  • Dump 2 full cans of peaches and their liquid into an 11x7 baking casserole dish. For the 3rd can, separate the peaches and their juice and use only the peaches - add to the baking dish.
  • To the peaches, add the 1 teaspoon cinnamon and ½ teaspoon nutmeg. Mix to combine.
  • Right on top of your peaches, add the cake mix and spread into an even, flat layer.
  • Melt the 1 ½ stick of salted butter and pour the fully melted butter evenly on top of the cake mix. Use a spatula/spoon/fork as needed to try to cover as much of the dry cake mix as you can.
  • Bake the cobbler at 350F for 40-50 minutes until deeply golden brown and the edges are bubbly.
