I am a smoothie addict and no lie, I am constantly craving this green smoothie. It's loaded with flavor from a bunch of fruit and gets its beautiful green color from avocado and a ton of spinach. So, basically, it's on the healthier side and tastes delicious. There's no reason you shouldn't make this.
Throughout the years I've tried my fair share of smoothie combinations, mixing and matching various fruits and veggies. I tend to lean into the tropical fruits versus berries (although berries are still delicious) because I love the super bright flavor they bring to the table. I keep coming back to this green smoothie combination of banana, mango, pineapple, avocado, and spinach.
This combination is bright, fruity, a little creamy, and just simply perfect. One of my favorite things about smoothies is that they're completely customizable. While I highly recommend this recipe of course, you can always throw in a scoop or two of nut butter or swap around the frozen tropical fruits. You can also swap in kale for spinach, but I find kale to be a bit more labor intensive to remove stems, versus grabbing a handful of spinach and just tossing it in.
No matter what you put in your smoothie - I hope you enjoy! And if you're into smoothie bowls, check out this classic acai one.
